The annual “Best Airlines in the World” list was published by consumer aviation organization Skytrax, located in the UK.
The poll this year covered 335 airlines, and the final results comprised more than 20 million responses. The survey measured a number of factors under the three headings of cabin service, airport experience, and onboard product of the trip.
The finest business class in the globe this year was awarded to Qatar Airways. The world’s greatest business-class seats were also said to be on this aircraft. In both categories, Singapore Airlines came in second. The best business-class lounge and dining honours went to Turkish Airlines this year, and the best business-class onboard food went to Austrian Airlines.
In a shocking surprise, China’s Hainan Airlines defeated Taiwan’s EVA Air and Qatar Airways for the title of finest business-class comfort facilities. Pillows, wash kits, duvets, blankets, pajamas, and a hot-and-cold towel service were ranked in this category of comfort items.
Voters selected Air Canada as the best business class in North America, Singapore Airlines as the best business class in Asia, Hainan Airlines as the best business class in China, Qatar Airways as the best business class in the Middle East, and Ethiopian Airlines as the best business class in Africa.
