Dangerous Breeds
The following breeds have been selected as the most deadly by research by the Centers for Disease Control, the Humane Society, and the American Veterinary Medical Association:
- Pit Bull Terrier
- Rottweiler
- German Shepherd
- Siberian Husky
- Alaskan Malamute
- Doberman Pinscher
- Chow Chow
- Great Dane
- St Bernard
- Presa Canario
Even while it is by no means a given that a dog of one of the aforementioned breeds would be aggressive or violent, it is important to exercise additional caution around these animals. Though every dog, regardless of breed, size, or strength, has the potential to become aggressive or deadly.
